The Idonis cocktail is delicately sweet, using a small amount of pineapple juice and just a touch of apricot brandy for its flavor. The rest of the drink is simply straight vodka.

This is a great cocktail when you want you want something just a little bit tropical and sweet, but still sophisticated and not at all weak. Try an Idonis cocktail the next time you’re thinking about pouring a Sidecar.

Recipe

2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce apricot brandy
1 ounce pineapple juice

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Pour in your ingredients and shake until chilled. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
