Saketini (Sake and Gin Martini)

Sake and gin may be the last flavor combination you’d expect, but it makes sense the more you think about it. Sake generally tastes a little like white wine, and gin is herbal with near-citrus notes, so combining the two tempers the gin and adds a touch of excitement to the sake. That said, the saketini is mostly gin, so expect a flavor that’s pretty similar to a gin martini.

Unlike most ‘tinis, this sake and gin martini almost qualifies as a real sort of martini: it’s pure alcohol, it uses gin as a base, and the mixer is in a very sparing amount.
