Antoine’s Lullaby is a rum-based cocktail that’s so deliciously low on the sweetness scale that you have to serve it in a sugar-rimmed glass. It has a bold flavor – rum and lemon juice, with touches of fruitiness from the port and curacao.

It may look fancy with its reddish color and sugar rim, but it’s really not.

Recipe

1 ounce dark rum
dash of port
dash of orange curacao
3/4 ounce lemon juice

Fill a mixing glass halfway with ice cubes. Pour all the ingredients into it and stir well. Strain the mixture into a sugar-rimmed cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon slice or twist.
