Double Standard Sour

The Double Standard Sour has a base of two liquors you might not expect to find in the same drink: gin and scotch. If that sounds awful, read the rest of the recipe.

Double Standard Sour with lime

The lime juice brings out the citrus notes in both liquors, so the dominant flavors become citrus and oak, which is pretty tasty. Remember not to waste good scotch on a cocktail – anything drinkable will do.

Recipe

  • 1 ounce gin
  • 1 ounce scotch
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in the ingredients. Shake thoroughly and strain the mixture into a martini glass.
