The Ruby Relaxer is a bright red and somewhat tropical cocktail that’s tropical flavored and very easy to make. It’s a great drink when you want to kick back and relax at the end of a long day.
This cocktail is a Ruby Tuesday copycat recipe. It started at that restaurant chain, and now people have been making them at home for years. It’s a fruity drink that features peach schnapps, vodka and Malibu rum along with two delicious fruit juices.
It’s even easy to make – equal parts of three liquors, some pineapple juice, a touch of cranberry. There’s no shaking or stirring required. You just pour the ingredients into a glass over ice, and boom – serve it. This makes it great for a party – and you can make it in big batches.
If you want to make it even better, chill all the ingredients before you pour. This keeps the drink from immediately starting to melt the ice and get watered down.
Your fruit juices will already be chilling in the fridge. But here’s a good trick: put the spirits in the freezer for 20 minutes. Alcohol doesn’t freeze, so you don’t need to worry about them turning into giant bottles of ice.
But they will get nicely cold. If you want to get fancy, you can also serve it in a chilled glass, and that will extend the time before the ice melts even more.
This drink is a tasty blend of cranberry, peach, coconut and pineapple – sweet, mellow and easy to love.
Some versions of this recipe call for grenadine or cherry syrup, either in place of cranberry juice or in addition. If you want to use this, it will change the taste of the drink somewhat.
