Cranberry Kiss Drink Recipe
The Cranberry Kiss cocktail takes your traditional margarita recipe and adds to it pure cranberry juice and a vanilla note. Pure cranberry juice that’s not diluted with other fruit juices is pretty tart, which is why you need the vanilla simple syrup (or a vanilla liqueur will work, too).
The blend of cranberry and vanilla alone is pretty delicious – add to it the strong hints of lime and orange in this recipe, and you get a wonderful blend of tart, sweet and mellow.
It’s rare for a cranberry cocktail recipe to call for pure cranberry juice. Normally they mean the blends that take away some of that tartness.
In this case, it’s the other mixers that take the edge off the cranberry. What happens if you use regular blended cranberry juice? It’s going to be too sweet.
