The Pumpkin Pie Martini is an ideal fall drink but delicious for any time. It blends the flavors of vanilla and white chocolate with pumpkin and nutmeg and it has a graham cracker rim just to finish off the flavor to perfection.
That means it tastes a little like a pumpkin pie. With booze. In liquid form. What’s not to like?
And don’t be put off by the rim. If you’ve never done it before, take a look at our page and video on how to rim a cocktail glass.
This drink obviously makes a wonderful dessert drink, but feel free to make one anytime you want to feel cozy. Because of its sweetness and richness, you can pair it with smoky grilled meats that are on the light side.
Try these Smoked Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breasts from Food.com. You might even want to leave off the barbecue sauce.
This drink actually uses pumpkin puree, so you have to give it some serious shaking. Think of it as like shaking a drink to break up an egg white.
I found the best method was to shake just the puree with a couple of ice cubes a few times, to get it broken up and slightly watered down.
Then I added a bit more ice, plus the rest of the wet ingredients, and shook it until the shaker was so cold I could barely hold it. That got everything blended smoothly.
If you enjoy the Pumpkin Pie Martini…
You should also check out the Pumpkin Pie Shot, which is much quicker and easier to make, but has a similar flavor. No need to rim a glass!
And there’s also the Halloween-themed Ichabod Crane, which is ice cream based and also tastes like spiced pumpkin.
