The Bermuda Highball blends brandy with gin and vermouth, and adds a couple of marrying ingredients to make the whole thing work. It tastes like a carbonated martini that’s had some fruit and wood notes added to it.

This is a great drink to try if you have never really enjoyed martinis but want to try something that’s not a million miles off from it. The brandy makes the whole thing a lot easier to love, but there are no fruity flavors. It’s still a pretty grown-up drink.

Recipe

3/4 ounce brandy
3/4 ounce gin
3/4 ounce dry vermouth
Club soda
Lemon twist

Fill a highball glass most of the way with ice cubes. Pour in the brandy, gin and dry vermouth. Top with the club soda and stir. Garnish with the lemon twist.
