The Nutty Irishman is a fun, sweet cocktail that mixes Irish whiskey with Baileys and Frangelico. The dominant flavor is definitely the hazelnut, but the woodsy notes of the whiskey come through strongly.

This is a drink that’s definitely sweet enough to be dessert – the liqueurs dominate the whiskey. But the whiskey mellows that sweetness a little and adds complexity. Try a Nutty Irishman the next time you’re in the mood for something like a B52, only stronger.

Recipe

• 1 ounce Irish whiskey
• 1 ounce Baileys
• 1 ounce Frangelico

Build in order into an old-fashioned glass. Ice is optional.
