Liberty cocktail

The Liberty cocktail is simple and sweet, but not in the usual fruity/candy way so many drinks are. This cocktail is almost straight alcohol, so it’s definitely not a lightweight. It’s definitely got a bite.
Liberty is wonderful for sipping along during a quiet evening when you just want one cocktail to relax you. It’s also an easy big batch drink for parties. Serve it with goodies or sip it when you’re just planning to have s drink or two.
Recipe
- 2 ounces Calvados apple brandy
- 1 ounce light rum
- 1/4 ounce simple syrup
- Squeeze of lime (optional)
Shake everything with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lime wedge if you like.
