The Zoo Station is one of those slightly creamy, rather sweet little treats that features Irish cream. I personally opt for Carolan’s over Baileys because it’s got a richer flavor and is a touch less sweet. But unlike most drinks containing Irish cream, that’s not the dominant flavor in this cocktail.
In this cocktail, the Irish cream flavor is subdued by amaretto, coffee liqueur, banana liqueur and some good old-fashioned cream to mellow the whole flavor out. This is a nice drink whenever you’re in the mood for something sweet and like dessert in a glass.
Recipe
- 1/2 ounce amaretto
- 1/2 ounce coffee liqueur
- 1/2 ounce Carolan’s Irish cream
- 1/2 ounce banana liqueur
- 1 ounce cream
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in all the ingredients and shake until chilled. Strain the mixture into a shot glass.
