Italian Amaretto Margarita

The Italian Amaretto Margarita recipe is a blended margarita that’s easiest to make in batches that serve four. It adds amaretto to the familiar margarita flavors of lime and orange, with a little sugar.
The result is a combination of citrus and rich almond notes, which is heavenly. It’s kind of like an Amaretto Sour, but slushy with limeade and orange instead of lemon.
This is a wonderful drink to cool down with on a hot afternoon. It also makes a great dessert drink.
Recipe
- 4 ounces amaretto liqueur
- white sugar
- 6 ounces frozen limeade concentrate
- 6 ounces tequila
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 6 cups ice
Rim four margarita glasses by dipping them in amaretto, then sugar. Put the limeaid, tequila, amaretto, orange juice and ice into a blender. Puree, and then pour into the glasses.
