Hpnotiq is a low-alcohol (34 proof or ABV of 17%) liqueur with a distinctive blue color and tropical fruit flavor. It’s made from premium vodka and cognac and fruit juices. It’s a branded liqueur, which means there’s only one version of it and no generics.

We’ve got several Hpnotiq recipes for you to try. And you can order some Hpnotiq online and save yourself a trip to the store.

Taste of Hpnotiq

The smell of Hpnotiq is somewhere between mango and passion fruit, with the slightly bitter edge that both fruits sometimes naturally have. Tasting it reveals bright citrus notes which overpower the bitter edge completely.

The mouthfeel is light, and it almost tingles on the tongue.

The fruit flavors are intense, so whether you like it or not will depend partly on how you feel about mangoes and passion fruit. Blending these intense flavors into cocktail recipes can be a bit tricky.

Coconut rum mellows that intensity and adds its own wonderful flavor.

Adding it to champagne or gin are two more great choices which highlights the citrus notes. And while it may not look the prettiest, adding a bit of this to a glass of iced tea transforms that tea into a passion fruit mango extravaganza.

Hpnotiq needs strong flavors that can stand up to it. It works equally well in as a main ingredient or a side ingredient.

As a main ingredient, it dominates the cocktail, but it’s a mellow enough flavor that this is pure enjoyment. As a side ingredient, it adds fruity complexity without overwhelming sweetness.

Hpnotiq is one of those ingredients you can add to almost anything. Try a little bit added to a margarita or classic gin martini. It’s great mixed with champagne or spiked with a bit of vodka or rum.
